Summary of Recent Board Actions

November & December 2025

• The Lakeside Leadership Board approved the following items:​
•  2026 budget was approved as submitted
• Pastors’ evaluations were completed, with strong recommendation to the Conference that both Pastor Sara and Pastor Sam remain at Lakeside.
• 2026 Church insurance policy was approved and renewed.
• Elizabeth Hardin was approved to fill a vacancy on the board.
• Tentative 2026 Church calendar

                1. Stewardship Campaign February 1-22, concluding with a                         Townhall Meeting and potluck on February 22nd.
                  2. Townhall/ potluck #2 with a “welcome back” to pastors                             on July 20th.
​                  3. Townhall/potluck #3 will be November 20th.

February  2026

• The Financial report, Trustees report and January minutes were re viewed and approved.
  
• Trustee Chair Fred Reed reported that a telephone is being installed in the elevator and the fence has been completed
  
• Request from the Mission Committee of $8400 to continue the food distribution program in 2026 was approved.
  
• The Holy Week schedule was presented and approved. A new banner has been purchased to invite the community to join us for Easter.
  
• Beginning in April, the church newsletter will undergo some changes. We will be mailing a monthly newsletter and updating our weekly newsletter to be easier to read on all devices, with the goal of improving communication and adapting to changes in software. The board approved these upcoming changes.
